Why Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. For more than thirty-five years, mindfulness has been taught in hospitals, prisons, mental health centers, schools, and corporate settings. Today, research shows mindfulness practice cultivates a sense of peace and well-being, greater emotional stability, and improved concentration. When mindfulness is coupled with universal humanistic values such as kindness, cooperation, compassion, and generosity, mindfulness can transform the experience of daily life and relationships and lead to more happiness.

Would you like to practice mindfulness with us ONLINE?

The novel coronavirus is offering us new opportunity to practice with uncertainty and with managing our fear and perhaps ill-health. As a community we are following the reasonable precautions that CDC and health experts are telling us–practicing social distancing at this time. To keep ourselves and our loved ones happy and well…

Indigo Sangha is a virtual community until further notice.
